How to clear cache of Firefox

The Firefox cache stores images, scripts, and other parts of websites temporarily that you visit in order to speed up your browsing experience. This article will help you to clear the cache.

Clear the cache

Click the menu button  then choose Options.

Select the Advanced panel.

Click on the Network tab.

In the Cached Web Content section, click Clear Now.

Close the about:preferences page. Any changes you've made will automatically be saved.

Automatically clear the cache

You can set Firefox to automatically clear the cache when Firefox closes:

Click the menu button  and choose Options.

Select the Privacy panel.

In the History section, set Firefox will: to Use custom settings for history.

Select the check box for Clear history when Firefox closes.

Beside Clear history when Firefox closes, click the Settings… button. The Settings for Clearing History window will open.

In the Settings for Clearing History window, put a check mark next to Cache.

Click OK to close the Settings for Clearing History window.

Close the about:preferences page. Any changes you've made will automatically be saved.

How to Clear Cache of Google Chrome version 10 and above

Open the settings on Chrome. Click the menu icon in the upper right corner of the browser to the right. Click settings on the bottom of the menu.

Shortcut keys for Windows user Control+⇧ Shift+Delete , or if you are a Mac user the combination keys ⇧ Shift+⌘ Command+Delete.

From settings, click "Show advanced settings..." that located at the very bottom of the settings section.

 

Scroll to the privacy section and click "Clear browsing data".

 

Select "Cached images and files". Uncheck all other options to avoid deleting browser history, cookies and other things you may wish to retain. For whole change "Obliterate the following items from" to "the beginning of time".

 

Press "Clear browsing data"

Done wiping your browser.

How to clear Cache memory of Opera

Here is a step by step instructions for Opera users,

On your Opera browser, tap on Menu > Settings 

Or you type at URL with advantage autosave shortcut "settings/clearBrowserData" or "opera://settings/clearBrowserData"

Once the History tab opened, click on ‘Clear browsing data‘

Now choose ‘the beginning of time‘ from drop-down menu

Select all the options and finally click on ‘Clear browsing data‘

Once your browser is open, select the "Settings" menu and click "Delete private data".

Make sure the "Delete entire cache" box is checked. Make sure any unwanted categories are left unchecked.

If you do not wish to delete cookies, saved passwords, etc., remove checks from them in the list.

Press "Delete".

Internet Explorer 9, 10, and 11

Once your browser is open, click the gear icon at the top right to open the Settings menu. Then, select Safety and Delete Browsing History....

Or, alternately, you may simply press Ctrl+⇧ Shift+Delete to open the Delete Browsing History window.

 

Select Temporary Internet Files. You will also need to uncheck all of the other boxes, especially Preserve Favorites website data. This option makes the window also delete objects from websites in your Favorites folder, which is necessary to completely clear your cache.

 

Click the Delete button near the bottom of the window to perform the operations (i.e. clear your cache by deleting temporary files).

Processing will be done by taking a moment, and then the process will be complete. You have successfully cleared Internet Explorer 9's Cache
