Rugby: Scotland win over Italy 34-13 in Singapore

Head coach Gregor Townsend, was happy with a lot of what he had seen in a match played in humid conditions, but acknowledged that with a new-look side and with so many players not having seen any action for so long, there was still plenty to work on.
The first 38 minutes showed the Scots’ threat but also the absence of the sort of cohesion they will need to challenge the best.

Then came a 10-minute purple patch in which they scored two tries either side of half-time to put the game to bed, with two moments of magic from fly-half Finn Russell in setting up two of the scores the highlight of the night. “I always thought it would be difficult to play the rugby we had been training to produce because of the conditions and the fact that we had not played together before,” Townsend said.
“The opening five minutes were excellent. If we had come away with tries then, it would have been better but the players kept believing in what they were doing, got back in the game, and worked hard to get those two tries just before half-time.
“We talked during the week about how Italy were tough opponents and how the type of rugby they play will take a lot out of the forwards.
“You have to keep working at it. There will be times in the game when it may open up, though, because they are not used to playing with that speed of ball.”
All that was achieved despite a late reshuffle after John Hardie hurt his back in the warm-up, forcing Ryan Wilson off the bench into the starting XV, with John Barclay, the flanker and captain, switching sides in the scrum.
As Townsend suggested, Scotland started at 100mph, but the frustration was that all they had to show for it was a single penalty from Russell cancelled out by one for his opposite number, Tomasso Allan.
The game turned on a productive 10 minutes either side of half-time when Scotland ran in four tries and settled the result. The first came from an Ali Price tap penalty, which ended with the same player rounding the defence to score.
Then came Russell’s first piece of magic, a perfect little chip kick taking Scotland into the Italy 22 before a repeat chip was taken by wing Tim Visser leading to the second try.
The opening period of the second half belonged to hooker Ross Ford, who was at the back of a maul as it rumbled over the line and then in the perfect place to take an inside flip from Russell for his second.
In 107 caps, he had only scored two tries so no wonder he was happy.
“It was good to get the win and keep the momentum going from the Six Nations. We played with a bit of ambition, a bit of tempo. It was a good first hit-out,” Ford said. “There were a lot of positives, round the maul, defensively in the line-out, and a lot of our phase play was good.
“It was good to score. I managed to pop up in the right places, at the back of a maul for the first and on Finn [Russell’s] shoulder for the second where thankfully I did not have too much to do. It was good fun, good to be out there playing an enjoyable game.
“I was expecting Finn to give the ball to Tim but instead he popped it out the back door to me – happy days. Those are the things you have to watch out for; he is able to do those things that not many people think about. That is how you score tries.”
The personal glory, however, was outdone by the overall team satisfaction at having got Townsend off on a winning note.
“It was really good to get that momentum. We talked about it back in Scotland, that we had built some momentum in the Six Nations and, with Gregor coming in, wanted to keep it going. It was good to show that we can play the way he wants us to play – fast and at tempo – and still be accurate,” Ford said.
The final period was more nip and tuck with Italy claiming two tries back, one from an interception finished by centre Michele Campagnaro, the other in the final seconds when wing Angelo Esposito found space on the touchline to go over.
In between, there was another moment to mark when Damien Hoyland, the Scotland wing, was put over for his debut Test try – thanks to quick hands from Duncan Taylor.
Captain Barclay said: “The pressure told. We kept saying, ‘keep hold of the ball, keep hold of the ball and we will score’.
“It was a bit greasy in the humidity but we knew that if we kept hold of the ball we would come good and get some points. We had proved that in the Six Nations – eventually you are going to open them up and score.”
It was altogether a satisfying night but everyone in the Scotland camp knows things are going to be a lot tougher next week in Australia.

The Deadliest and Most Dangerous Dinosaurs

The Deadliest and Most Dangerous Dinosaurs

Taken from we thought reliable sources about dinosaurs..

1.Spinosaurus

Spinosaurus the undisputed king of larger terrestrial predators that have ever existed, we find this "lizard of thorn". This gigantic being lived on our planet 112-97 million years ago during the lower Albian to lower Cenomanian stages of the Cretaceous period. Discovered in Egypt, overthrew the T-rex as far as large carnivores are concerned. Its size is estimated between 15 and 18 meters in length, with a weight that is not yet very established, according to which expert mentioned, ranges from 9 tons to 20.

This dinosaur was famous for its famous dorsal sail, formed because the Vertebrae on his back had very long spines. It is believed that this ridge had a function of thermoregulation, being then a cold-blooded animal , like the present lizards. It is thought that the fossils of sea creatures that have appeared with remains of stomach acid Spinosaurus, that this great predator not only exploited the terrestrial environment, but also used its long nose to fish in fresh water. Spinosaurus has long arms with deadly claws on them and they have a snout filled with tons of sharp teeth. It  can kill withs it's arm and snout or mouth. Also, larger and stronger than T-Rex, but a Spinosaurus jaw is designed to kill things like fish, designed for grip rather than crushing bone like a Giganotosaurus jaw.

1. He lives in Africa.
2. His jaws are not very strong and his teeth are conical.
3. He mainly eats fish.
4. Lives near water or river.
5. Walks on four legs, and probably wasn't that fast.

2. Tyrannosaurus Rex

Tyrannosaurus, meaning "tyrant lizard",  from the Ancient Greek tyrannos, "tyrant", and sauros, "lizard" is a genus of coelurosaurian theropod dinosaur.

Its always believed the greatest and most ferocious terrestrial predator, has been relegated to a fourth place in size. Much younger than his older brothers, his reign is set between 67.7 and 65 million years ago, the Upper Cretaceous range. Both its size, about 12.3 meters in length, 4 feet high and a weight of 6 to 18 tons, as its jaw, which thanks to its powerful muscles could exert a force of 3,000kg and pass through a steel drum made this dinosaur the most feared of his time. However, since although his legs are very strong, they do not allow him to run more than 20-25 km/h. It should also be noted that his brain could double in size to that of other carnivores of their size or even greater, giving him an intelligence that made him more dangerous when hunting and making strategy.

1. T-Rex has bone-crushing jaws that could crush a car.
2. He can run 25 miles per hour, faster than a person.
3. He lives in North America.
4. Length 12.8meter to 17.5meter

3. Giganotosaurus

Giganotosaurus is a genus of theropod dinosaur that lived in what is now Argentina, during the early Cenomanian age of the Late Cretaceous period, approximately 99.6 to 97 million years ago. Giganotosaurus is a giant carnivore in South America. This killer weighs 7 tonnes and lengths about 48 feet. Its length around 12.2meter to 14.5meter. With a range in the time scale resembling Spinosaurus, 100-97 million years old, it left skeletal remains in South America.

Known as the "Southern Wind Giant Reptile," it is the second largest biped and carnivorous animal the Earth has ever known with a size between 12.2 and 13 meters and an estimated weight of 6.5 to 13.8 tons. It is an animal of strong legs, but slow, reason why it is believed that it hunted in ambuscates or little fast prey . In addition, it is the theropod with the largest skull in reference to its body, with teeth flattened laterally and sawn, ideal to tear the meat.

4. Carcharodontosaurus
Carcharodontosaurus is a genus of carnivorous carcharodontosaurid dinosaurs that existed between 100 and 94 million years ago, during the Cenomanian stages of the mid-Cretaceous Period.

This "shark tooth reptile" lived with other of the largest terrestrial predators, in Africa, sharing territory with the Spinosaurus . Its 12-13 meters long, 3.5-5 meters high and between 6 and 15 tons of weight (the experts do not agree with the estimates) make it the third largest terrestrial carnivore in history. To this it was necessary to add that it was faster than the Tyranosaurio reaching to surpass the 30 km/h in race. His teeth, similar to those of sharks (hence his name), teared at their prey until they died bled, aiding their sharp claws to hold them as it occurred.

Had a slightly darker look compare to the T-Rex and other bigger carnivores. It also had smaller arms such as the T-Rex, although having bigger arms gave it the ability to move better and have slightly better balance. It existed in the mid-end Cretaceous period.
Similar in fact longer than the Tyrannosaurus. Was commonly found in the North Africa and South American region.

5. Tarbosaurus Bataar

Was inhabited on Earth 70 million years ago, in Asia region. Can be called the King of Asia Dinosaur. It is so similar to Tyrannosaurus that some authors consider it the Asian subspecies of the famous American dinosaur. Its size and weight were also similar to that of the Tyranosaurio (10-12 meters long, more than 4 meters high and between 6 and 7 tons).

Its body structure was similar to that of the great dinosaurs, with strong and large hind legs that served as a point of support between the body and the long and heavy tail that balanced it. His "hands" are the smallest proportionally to the rest of the body, with only two fingers.

1.      Can beat ceratosaurus and daspletosaurus
2.      The second biggest member of the tyrannosaur family
3.      Their teeth are razor sharp and can cut through 2 meters flesh
